Bloggers quilt festival

(Amy) of Girl in Park City Blog has organized a quilt festival online, to partecipate bloggers have to post on their blog the quilt that they prefer; and mine is "Postcards from the Mediterranean sea."
I made this quilt in 2006 for a competition entitled "Mediterranean, a sea of colors and emotions."

There are 25 photos of wonderful Mediterranean landscapes like Camogli, Bonifacio, Elba Island, Greece, Sicily, Amalfi Coast, Croatia, some are of my holiday photos, the others have been sound in a books.
I used different appliqué techniques and this was my first quilt quilted with the free motion technique.
